Indication:
Respiratory tract infection
Skin & soft tissue infection
Bone infection
Surgical infections.
The principal indication for PERILACT is in the treatment of infections due to penicillinase-producing staphylococci, it may be used to initiate therapy in such patients in whom a staphylococcal infection is suspected.
Cloxacillin should not be used orally for the initial treatment of severe, life-threatening infections, including endocarditis, but may be used as follow-up therapy after parenteral penicillinase-resistant penicillin therapy. Cloxacillin should not be used orally in the treatment of meningitis.
