Treatment of Hepatic Encephalopathy (HE) with oral L-ornithine-L-aspartate in cirrhotic patients markedly improved HR-QOL and was well tolerated by 97.8% of patients. L-ornithine-L-aspartate is most commonly used for reduced brain function in people with advanced liver disease (HE). It is also used for athletic performance, cirrhosis, and other conditions, but there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses.
